About Us
The National Park Trust is dedicated to preserving parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow. We are the nation's only organization dedicated to the completion, and the full appreciation, of the American system of local, state and national parks through the identification of key land acquisition and preservation needs. We are not content with merely building out our nation's system of parks; our vision is based on the belief that there is a necessity to engage young people with our treasured natural areas.
Since 1983, NPT has worked on over 200 projects and will continue to be at the very heart of our nation's effort to preserve, protect and enhance the nation's system of parks at the local, state and national level. NPT is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
OUR VISION
Our vision is that everyone will have an American Park Experience. This can only happen if we build awareness and appreciation of our system of local, state and national parks, and dedicate ourselves to introducing successive generations to this uniquely American heritage.
OUR MISSION
NPT’s mission is to preserve parks today and create park stewards for tomorrow. As we spend more time indoors and as successive generations grow up with less of a connection to nature we need to build greater awareness and appreciation for the importance of our country’s public lands and parks.
