  • We celebrated our 4th annual Kids to Park Day on Saturday, May 17, 2014 and want to thank you for joining us in this national movement that engages children with parks, nature, and healthy outdoor play.

    States, cities and towns across the country participated by proclaiming May 17th as Kids to Parks Day. We are already excited for Kids to Parks Day 2015. Below you will find a proclamation template. Dr. Ilona Holland

Dr. Ilona Holland holds an Ed.D. and Ed.M. from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education, a M.Ed from University of Delaware and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. Her specialized experience is with technology-based education and her previous work with technology projects for museums, businesses, schools, and the edu-tainment industry make her an invaluable ally in our mission to reconnect children across the country with the great outdoors.

Dr. Holland is currently a Lecturer on Education at Harvard's Graduate School of Education and a Senior Advisor for Academic Affairs and Instructional Design at Children's Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Holland has served as a formative evaluator of educational technology projects, including the television shows like Parenting WorksBetween the Lions and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? and Wild Kratts and was part of the creative team for the Emmy Award-winning Word Girl, PBS. In addition, she was also a vital contributor in writing Delaware’s K-12 Educational Standards for both the social arts and the arts in education.
