10:00-11:00am Living with Black Bears : Our largest mammal and our state animal, has fascinated residents since settlers first set foot in WV forests. However, population s are increasing and the chance of spotting one in your back yard is also increasing. Join, Wildlife manger ,CJ Bowmar, for a presentation on the WV Black Bear as he discusses ways to safely live with them. Location: Morgan Room at the Cacapon Lodge.
1:00-2:00pm TREEmendous Trees: Have you ever wondered how to tell a Red Oak from a White Oak? Then meet the Naturalist at the Nature Center to hike the Cabin Loop Trail.
Have fun learning how to identify some of the trees that are at the park.
3:30-4:00pm Turtle Hurdles! On the land, in the sea, in the...well, not in the air...but turtles are all around us. Meet at the Nature Center and meet some of our turtles and learn some fun facts about turtles and some of the challenges they face.
