*Limited availability, registration required* Go where no park guest has gone before and explore the Copper Breaks backcountry! Join a park ranger on a guided hike through the hidden gem of Copper Breaks: the Texas Longhorn pasture. See the rugged beauty of the Pease River breaks in an area only accessible by tour. This is a roughly 2 mile round-trip, out and back hike on uneven terrain. It will take about an hour and a half but could be longer. Meet: Headquarters Parking Lot with your vehicle Bring: Hiking boots, at least 2 liters of water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. **Registration required. Call park HQ (940) 839-4331 to sign up or ask questions** This program is subject to cancellation due to unforeseen reasons.
