Come out and bring the whole family for a day of fishing fun! This FREE clinic is designed to introduce youth and adults to the sport of fishing using fun hands-on activities. Topics will include fishing ethics, regulations, basic tackle, rods and reels, casting practice, knot tying, baits and lures, tackle boxes and equipment, fish handling, fish identification, taught by TPWD certified Angler Education Volunteer Instructors. Then enjoy some water-side fishing at the lake. Please bring snacks and drinks. Dress appropriately for the weather. All educational materials and equipment will be provided. No fishing license is required for fishing at a TPWD Texas State Park. Youth must be accompanied by an adult at all times (no drop-offs). The event is FREE, but State Park entrance fees apply (a park day pass reservation is strongly encouraged if not staying in the park). Class space is limited and pre-registration is required.
