Kids to Parks Day: Salamander Search

Explore the differences between salamanders and lizards - and then head into the woods to roll over logs and lift up rocks as we search for salamanders in their natural habitat! Be prepared to get a little muddy - and wear insect repellant (tick protection)! 60 minutes Kids to Parks Day is a national day of outdoor play celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. The day connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors.

Cost: Park entrance fee is $7 per vehicle with Indiana plates, $9 per vehicle with out-of-state plates; the Indiana State Parks Annual Entrance Permit is also accepted.
