Want to know more about birding? Come out to the park and help the park team in the 2023 Great Texas Birding Classic. Are you curious about birding or want to help the park birding team in the 2023 Great Texas Birding Classic? Come out to the park to spot your first bird, learn why birds are so important, meet some rangers, or just get some good birding in. Where: Birding Area When: Stop by any time between 7am-1pm. What to bring: Water, sun protection. If you have binoculars and a field guide, we also recommend you bring them, but they are not required. We have a small collection of loaner binoculars and field guides. Note: This program is weather-dependent, and programs are subject to changes or cancellations. Call the park for the most up-to-date information. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
