Emily Swanzy

Emily’s love of nature is rooted in the idea that outdoor experiences happen in both small, local green spaces and in the vast wilds of our National Park System. She has been fortunate to live and work in the hills of southern Appalachia, the coastal towns of New England, and in our nation’s capital. Emily received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, with a minor in Geography.

She began her work with National Park Trust as a member of the Youth and Family Programs staff where she enjoyed connecting students and teachers from under-served schools to the joys of park exploration and outdoor recreation. 

Emily now serves as the Development Manager. Through this role, she helps donors achieve their goal of preserving parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow.
