St. Edward State Park is celebrating from noon-3 p.m. on May 18 the 14th annual Kids to Parks Day.

Hosted by the National Park Trust, Kids to Parks Day looks to foster enthusiasm for and engagement with the outdoors while encouraging youth to become stewards of nature, organizers say.

Event activities include scavenger hunts, science experiments, arts and crafts, environmental education, and games.

A discovery pass is required to park at the site. Parking passes can be purchased on site. A day pass is $10; an annual pass is $30.
