Paul’s lifelong passion for the nation’s natural treasures began as a child when his family visited national parks during summer vacations. As an adult, he carried on that tradition with his own family, centering their most memorable vacations around exploring these magnificent landscapes. They took RV trips spanning thousands of miles to visit as many state and national parks as possible. Over the years, Paul has had the privilege of visiting parks across the country, each offering its own unique splendor and landscape. From the wondrous gorges of the Grand Canyon to the towering peaks of Denali, from the granite faces of Yosemite to the vast deserts of Joshua Tree, from the colorful pools of Yellowstone to the serene arctic waters of Glacier, and from the intricate canyon systems of Arches to the backwaters of the Everglades, he has witnessed firsthand the diversity and majesty of America’s national parks.
Paul believes that through education and inclusive outreach, a new generation of park stewards can be fostered, committed to protecting the nation’s natural heritage. Serving on the board of the National Park Trust is a tremendous honor for him, providing an opportunity to give back to the parks that have brought him so much joy and inspiration throughout his life.
