Event Details:
Who: Fair Haven Rape Crisis Center & National Park Trust
Where: Indiana Dunes National Park, Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education – 100 N Lake St Gary, IN 46403
When: Saturday, May 31st, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM CDT
What: Spend your day with us at Indiana Dunes National Park. Start your morning with a welcome from Fair Haven’s Executive Director Kelly Vates, Indiana Dunes Superintendent Jason Taylor, and Congressman Frank Mrvan. Then join a National Park Service ranger-led hike or paddle (space limited), followed by lunch at the Douglas Center, and then complete your afternoon with an instructor-led painting session inspired by Indiana Dunes.
The hike will take place on the Miller Woods Trail, and the paddle will be at Marquette Park. Bus transportation and all gear will be provided for the kayaking participants. If you would like to hang out at the Douglas Center instead of hiking/paddling, you are welcome to visit the center grounds or visit with Fair Haven and National Park Trust staff (we will have snacks!).
The maximum number of participants for this event is 50 people. You will be notified no later than May 16th with a confirmation.
Please ensure each member of your party is included in this registration form. Spots are limited for this event, and we need to have an accurate headcount to ensure a successful event.
