September 12th, 2026 Carderock Rock Climbing Outing

National Park Trust invites members of the National Military Family Association, military service personnel, veterans, and their families to sign up for our September 12th Carderock Rock Climbing Outing! Participants will meet National Park Trust staff at North Parking, for Carderock Cliffs, Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath, Potomac, MD 20854, at 9:00 AM!

Applying for this event does not guarantee a spot; participants and groups that have been accepted or put on a waitlist will be notified by email by August 28th, 2026!

  • Who: National Park Trust, National Military Family Association, East Outdoors
  • What: Join us for an exciting day of outdoor adventure rock climbing at Carderock, one of Maryland’s iconic climbing destinations! The day will begin with a safety briefing and climbing instruction from professional climbing guides, who will provide all necessary equipment and support throughout the experience. No prior climbing experience is required—this outing is designed for beginners and experienced adventurers alike. After a day of climbing, participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch and have the chance to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and local military families. We look forward to sharing this memorable experience with you!

National Park Trust will provide a complimentary boxed lunch and snacks throughout the outing. Please make sure to share any dietary restrictions you and/or your party may have in the registration form.
