Melody Walkiewicz

Melody grew up in New Jersey, exploring the woods right in her own backyard as well as the beaches of the Jersey shore. More recently she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, kayaking, and traveling wherever she can do those things!

Melody received her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Delaware. She has worked as an educator for several different parks and non-profit organizations across the country, teaching kids about the environment in the classroom, virtually, and out on the trails. She loves helping students create meaningful connections to the natural world.

Melody joined the National Park Trust team as an Education Coordinator in July 2021. She is now the Youth Programs Manager, working with about 25 schools in the Buddy Bison School Program as well as managing the Kids to Parks Day School Grant Program.
