College Ambassador Year: 2021-2022 & 2022-2023

My name is Annaliese Wan, and I was a National Park Trust College Ambassador for two years while attending James Madison University (2021-2022 and 2022-2023). During my time in college, I fell in love with all things outdoor recreation and found passion in sharing outdoor experiences with others. Upon graduating in 2023, I took a professional sales role that started my young sales career. While I enjoyed the challenge and relationship-building of sales, I quickly learned how much I missed being a part of the outdoor industry. In 2024, I took the leap and switched my career path, and I now work for the Park Trust full-time as a Programs Coordinator. In my role today, I oversee the operations of our College Ambassador Program and aid in our military programs.

It has been extremely special work with students nationwide who share my passion for helping others fall in love with the outdoors. I am so proud to see the growth of this program, from being one of the first college ambassadors to now building a community of 70+ current and former ambassadors across the country.

I plan to continue my career in the outdoor industry and share the wonders of outdoor spaces with all. I would love to connect with anyone on their journey of finding what drives their passions and navigating different career paths. I also have a keen interest in business strategy and entrepreneurship and am happy to connect with others with experience and/or similar interests in these topics.
