Joshua Tree Hike & Stargaze Adventure

On November 2nd, 2024, our CSUSB Adventure team embarked on an exhilarating Joshua Tree Hike & Stargaze outing at Joshua Tree National Park, CA. This outdoor recreation experience brought together a group of enthusiastic participants eager to explore the breathtaking landscapes and the wonder of the night sky.

We had a fantastic turnout, with a diverse group of attendees eager to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the park. The day began with an early morning departure from the CSUSB campus. Our itinerary was packed with exciting activities, including hiking the Cap Rock Nature Trail and visiting iconic spots like Heart Rock, Arch Rock ,and Keys View. The highlight of the evening was a visit to the Sky’s the Limit Observatory for an unforgettable stargazing session.

We chose Joshua Tree for its unique desert environment and clear night skies, perfect for hiking and observing the stars. The participants loved the blend of adventure and tranquility, with many expressing awe at the stunning vistas and celestial views. One standout moment was the group cheer as we reached Keys View, marveling at the expansive landscape.

The outing left a lasting impact, fostering a sense of connection to nature and camaraderie among participants. This experience not only offered an escape from daily routines but also inspired a deeper appreciation for our natural world.
