Park Trust Honored to Join the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s Got Your 6 Network
In 2025, the National Park Trust is proud and honored to announce that we have joined the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s Got Your 6 Network — a powerful coalition of veteran‑serving organizations that stands shoulder to shoulder with service members, veterans, and their families across America.
For decades, National Park Trust has been deeply committed to helping people connect with the natural world — harnessing the life‑changing power of outdoor experiences to foster health, education, community, and lifelong stewardship of our public lands. As we reflect all of the outdoor outings we’ve facilitated for military families nationwide, from wildlife encounters in Everglades National Park to camping and fly‑fishing adventures in Yellowstone, we recognize that this next chapter — joining the Got Your 6 Network — will amplify our impact in meaningful new ways.
The Got Your 6 Network, managed by the Bob Woodruff Foundation, is the largest non‑governmental network of veteran‑serving providers in the United States. It’s nearly 400 partner organizations that span all 50 states, plus U.S. territories, delivering a comprehensive range of support — including mental and physical healthcare, housing, employment, legal assistance, emergency relief, and community-building services. Through the Network, veterans, service members, and their families in communities large and small gain access to resources tailored to their needs, including programs that promote wellness, connection, and lasting resilience.
By becoming a member of Got Your 6, National Park Trust embraces the guiding principle behind its name — “we’ve got your six,” military‑speak for “we’ve got your back.” We are committed to supporting our nation’s military families not only through access to nature but by working in concert with a nationwide network dedicated to ensuring their needs are met on multiple fronts.
Our mission aligns deeply with the goals of Got Your 6. We know from first‑hand experience the healing, resilience, and growth that nature can foster — especially for families who carry the weight of service, sacrifice, transition, or loss. Time outdoors can restore a sense of calm, rekindle connections, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging. We believe these benefits are fundamental to the health and well-being of service‑connected families.
Through this partnership, we hope to deepen and expand our reach: providing more veterans and military families with meaningful outdoor opportunities, collaborating with peer organizations to share knowledge and best practices, and leveraging the broader supports of the Got Your 6 Network. Together, we can ensure that military‑connected families across the country have the backing — both figuratively and literally — of a community that cares.
We are excited to join this network of devoted organizations, and we look forward to contributing our passion for nature-based experiences, environmental stewardship, and community building to support the brave men and women who have served our country.
