Trails and Togetherness: TSU’s Biotech Club and Fashion Society Explore Percy Warner Park
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the Tennessee State University Biotech Club and the Fashion Society collaborated on a hiking event at Percy Warner Park. What began as a simple plan to get outdoors turned into a memorable day of bonding, decompression, and shared appreciation for nature.


Fall in Middle Tennessee is a palette of amber, gold, and crisp blue skies, and our hike captured it all. There was an energy of curiosity and community with Biotech students exploring the natural world beyond the lab, Fashion Society members bringing creativity to the outdoors, and everyone eager to step away from routine into something refreshing.
The trail offered just enough challenge to stimulate the body without overshadowing the spirit of togetherness. Participants encouraged one another, shared jokes, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of walking in nature.



At the overlook, the group paused for a light snack, reflection, and the chance to simply breathe. For many, this moment underscored the value of stepping out of one’s familiar environment, whether that is a classroom, studio, or lab, and into the calm of nature. It reinforced that wellness, creativity, and inquiry go hand in hand.
As the group made their way back down the trail, the park’s calm lingered, a reminder of how restorative time in nature can be. The steady rhythm of walking, the sound of rustling leaves, and the soft October breeze offered a kind of peace that is hard to find in day-to-day life.
