The Blue Ridge Music Center is a visitor center at milepost 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kids & Family Fun Day is an outdoor event that is free and open to all ages. The day includes old-time, bluegrass and country music performances by youth bands, an instrument "petting zoo" to introduce kids to stringed instruments, information booths with local Junior Appalachian Music groups, other music-related booths, and the Kids In Parks program with Track Trail brochures to use on the Music Center's hiking trails and information on how to register hikes and earn prizes. There will also be a museum scavenger hunt, a music-related art activity, food for purchase, and more.
