11 a.m. Douthat Dwellers - Owls: Have you ever heard an owl sing at night? Some call it spooky. Do you know what to listen for? If you’re not sure, join us to see what kind of owls call Douthat home, as we listen to their distinct calls. You can also make your own owl craft to take home.

1 p.m. Archaeologist Adventure: Did you know owls don’t chew their food? Learn about owl adaptations, behavior and diet. Then dig in to your own owl pellet and discover remaining critter bones and try to identify what was for dinner. $5 per pellet.

2:30 p.m. Half a Hike Adventure: Take a half of a hike with a park ranger. We will collect leaves along the way to identify and use to make a wonderful work of art. While everyone is welcome, guests 8 and under will find this program particularly enjoyable. Closed-toed shoes required.
