Celebrate National Kids to Parks Day by discovering more about Pocahontas State Park. Kids of all ages will have space to play and explore what makes the park unique. Start in the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum to learn how the park became a park and then go out back to our field station to investigate the park's landscape and geology, make nature observations and create a keepsake of the natural world. Program is suitable for all ages and abilities and will incorporate STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) elements.
