Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary June 9th Fishing Outing
Event Details:
- Who: National Park Trust, Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and NOAA Fisheries.
- What: A free, day-long chartered fishing outing during the height of Red Snapper season in Galveston, Texas. Experienced guides and NOAA staff members will welcome participants and teach them about the marine sanctuary, the fish and wildlife that call it home, and our role in helping protect it. Fishing guides from Reel Guppy Outdoors will teach fishing basics and help you cast your line into the scenic Gulf of Mexico to catch some fish!
- When: Sunday, June 9th, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Where: 1700 Harborside Dr, Galveston, TX 77550
- The National Park Trust invites military service members E-6 and below and their families to sign up for our Flower Garden Banks June 9th Fishing Event! Free fishing instruction and complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided for each participant. Whether you are a newcomer to fishing or a seasoned angler, we encourage you to participate! Complimentary breakfast and lunch are provided for all participants.
- A fishing pole, tackle box, and introductory gear will be provided to each participant to keep during and after the event. You do not need to own or bring fishing gear to participate!
- Participants will receive a $25 gas card to reimburse for transportation to and from the event.
- This event is at capacity and this sign-up form is to be put on the waitlist for the event! We encourage you to sign up with your family and friends still, as spots usually will open up!
