Mallows Bay National Marine Sanctuary protects and interprets more than 100 World War I-era wooden steamships known as the “Ghost Fleet.” Dismantled during the 1920s and 1930s, the “Ghost Fleet” is now a historic and scenic attraction that captivates visitors.

On Saturday, November 5th, 2022, our Kayak Paddling Tour will allow you to experience the Ghost Fleet firsthand, paddling directly over the old shipwrecks and learning about the ecological and historical significance of the ships and sanctuary. Two tours will be offered- one at 10:00 am and another at 1:00 pm, with free transportation to and from Mallows Bay National Marine Sanctuary leaving from the Joint-Base Meyer-Henderson Hall Bowling Center at 8:15 and 10:45, respectively. Free lunch will also be provided.
We look forward to exploring Mallows Bay National Marine Sanctuary with you and paddling this scenic area on November 5th!
