- Who: National Park Trust, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, National Marine Sanctuary Foundation & NOAA Fisheries
- What: A fun Saturday fishing in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. NOAA Rangers will teach us about the marine sanctuary, the fish and wildlife that call it home, and our role in helping to protect it. Each participant will learn some fishing basics and then cast their line into the sanctuary’s waters on a free fishing charter boat to catch some fish! As a thank you for attending, each participant will be gifted a fishing pole and tackle box with all the gear you need to continue fishing for years to come.

- The National Park Trust invites members of the military community, military service personnel, veterans, and their families to sign up for our July 27th Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Fishing Outing! Participants will meet National Park Trust and NOAA staff at the Discovery Whale Watching parking lot at 6:45 AM. Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary personnel will provide a welcome and teach us about the sanctuary, wildlife, and fishing in this protected public water. Expert fishing guides from Reel Guppy Fishing Program will teach you all the basics of casting and catching in the Pacific Ocean, and we will spend a fantastic morning fishing in the sanctuary.
Please ensure each member of your party is included in this registration form. Spots are limited for this event and we need an accurate head count to accommodate each participant.
You do not need your own fishing gear to participate! We will be providing complimentary gear for each participating group to keep! If you would like to bring your gear, feel free!
