National Park Trust congratulates Gateway Arch National Park; Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site; National Mall and Memorial Parks/DC area parks; and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park for winning The Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) annual Pinnacle Award!

The CILC Pinnacle Award has been given out every year since 2008 to participating Content Providers who are achieving excellence in their educational content and program delivery. CILC Content Providers are museums, science centers, art galleries, zoos, aquariums, musicians, and authors from around the world who have developed a Distance Learning Program and have become a member with CILC. In order to be selected for this award, the organization must have received a 95% or more on evaluations by educators and activity directors throughout the entire year.

The National Park Trust worked with each winning site through an expanded partnership with the National Park Foundation. The Park Trust used our experience working across the country with hundreds of elementary school teachers to advise each site on how best to use and enhance their distance learning programs, in addition to helping meet the challenges faced by teachers. Each site’s programs now effectively support students’ lesson plans by meeting education standards, and keeps kids engaged with national parks!
