Ann Gualtieri
Board Vice-Chair
DuPont (Retired)
Wilmington, DE
Ann Gualtieri spent a large portion of her childhood living in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, in a house surrounded by woods, three miles away from the nearest neighbor and accessible only by a dirt road. She explored the forest, hiked and fished with her Dad, and learned the secrets of the woods from her Grandfather, who was a forester. It was the best and most formative part of her early life. As an adult, she still treasures the hours that she can spend outdoors in green spaces. “Being in nature is a source of joy in my life; it is how I stay grounded during trying times; it is part of who I am.”
“As an NPT Trustee, I embrace the opportunity to introduce more children to the joy of experiencing the natural world. They are our future park stewards, and essential to sustaining NPT’s efforts to preserve our nation’s parks.”
Ann has 22 years of management experience with multinational corporations. Ann’s diverse career includes executive positions at DuPont, G.D. Searle & Co. (Monsanto), and Abbott Laboratories. She has held senior global leadership positions in: Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Business
Development, and Product Development.
Ann graduated from The University of Michigan with a PhD in Philosophy and an MBA. In the past, she has served on the Detroit Institute of Arts Founder’s Junior Council Board and the Teen Living Program Board, in Chicago. She also currently serves on the Board of Cancer Care Connection, based in Delaware.
