Katelyn grew up in the forests of New Hampshire and has many memories from her childhood hiking, gardening, and exploring. She has a deep appreciation for parks and various other historical sites around the U.S. thanks to incredible teachers in high school who went above and beyond to make sure kids had a chance to experience them. Since being in college, she has gained a love for adventure activities and bringing people together in nature.
Katelyn recently graduated from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sustainability Studies, a concentration in Community Development, and a minor in Politics. All throughout college she was a part of a leadership team that facilitated outdoor adventure experiences for groups from her school. Additionally, she worked at Messiah’s Office of Sustainability where she was responsible for internal and external communications, served on Messiah’s Sustainability Committee, and helped develop the school’s sustainability action plan.
