Stadler Nurseries

Gaithersburg, MD

I grew up on my family’s tree nursery in Maryland, where being outdoors was a daily part of life. Exploring the fields around the nursery and helping with seasonal work taught me early on how deeply nature shapes our sense of place and well-being. That connection continued to deepen as I later introduced my daughter to national parks on road trips across the country.

I am the Vice President of Stadler Nurseries, a fourth-generation garden center and landscape company serving the DMV. Each year, we plant more than 25,000 trees, supporting a wide range of customers, including homeowners, builders, land developers, HOAs, municipalities, schools, universities, government facilities, and public parks. Our work also includes supplying trees and plants to local, state, and federal agencies, including the National Park Service. This experience has broadened my understanding of the needs of public landscapes and the importance of long-term community investment in green spaces.

As a certified arborist, I bring a deep understanding of tree health and the role that well-chosen, well-cared-for trees play in our shared outdoor spaces. I also partner with schools on gardening and outdoor-learning initiatives, supporting educators as they expand students’ access to nature-based experiences. My work with public parks and community landscapes has reinforced how essential accessible green spaces are to public well-being and environmental resilience.

Across my personal and professional life, I have been guided by a belief in the value of nature and the importance of fostering connections to the outdoors. I am grateful for the opportunity to support the mission of the National Park Trust and to help ensure that our parks remain vibrant, meaningful places for generations to come.
