Natalie grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, where her love for the outdoors began at an early age. One of her earliest memories of spending time in parks occurred when she was just 5 years old, protecting endangered sea turtles’ nests with her grandmother on the Cape Cod National Seashore. Since then, Natalie has enjoyed exploring parks across the country and abroad, including spending a semester studying community-based conservation in Kenya and Tanzania.
The meaningful outdoor experiences of her childhood and teenage years inspired Natalie to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Bates College, with a minor in Education. During her summers as an undergrad, Natalie interned as an environmental educator at science and adventure-based outdoor camp programs in Boston and Nantucket with youth of all ages. As an education coordinator, Natalie works with 30 schools in California, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.
