Rachel Roberts
Rachel grew up in Indiana, where her love for the outdoors began in her own backyard—gardening with her mom, mountain biking with her dad, and stomping through creeks with her sister. As an adult, the chance to travel to places like Denali National Park in Alaska, Hell’s Gate National Park in Kenya, and Nea Kameni National Geological Park in Greece has been formative in deepening her awe and respect for the expansive natural world and the landscapes that help communities understand their shared story.
Rachel studied Nonprofit Management at Indiana University. Before joining the Park Trust, she served in a range of fundraising roles for humanitarian and refugee-serving nonprofits at the local, national, and international levels, exploring the ways a person’s connection to place impacts their identity and well-being. She is passionate about ensuring that everyone can experience the best of what our world has to offer, whether that’s walking through old-growth forests, seeing dark night skies, or enjoying the quiet that can only be found on protected lands.
As Donor Relations Manager for National Park Trust, Rachel serves as a resource to the Park Trust’s community of dedicated supporters, helping to bring the work of the Park Trust into the lives of those who want to take its mission further.
