Sally Huang
Sally was born and raised in Ashburn, Virginia, and developed a deep appreciation for nature and a love for animals at a young age. She grew up going camping with her family and exploring different national parks–some of her favorites include Glacier, Mount Rainier, and Acadia. These early experiences inspired her to study wildlife conservation at Virginia Tech, where she graduated in 2024.
During college, Sally took part in a variety of projects, including studying several local animal populations in the Blacksburg area, designing and implementing an enrichment plan for the resident red panda at Mill Mountain Zoo, and spending a summer working as a ranger at a regional park. Now, as an intern on the Youth Programs team at National Park Trust, she’s excited to help connect the next generation to the outdoors and continue learning how she can turn her passion for conservation into an impactful career.
