National Park Trust partners with the Armed Services Arts Partnership to bring military veterans closer to nature and creativity with interactive art programming in national parks, public lands, and waters across the country. These art programs, run through the NPS artist-in-residence program, engage veterans in photography, painting, and poetry, among other artistic mediums, in our nation’s parks. In addition to art workshops, veterans are also engaged in outdoor recreation activities like hiking and paddling, and encouraged to return by receiving the America the Beautiful Lifetime Veteran Pass.
