Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is a national nonprofit organization that provides comfort, care and resources to all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one. TAPS mission is to provide peer-based emotional support to all those who are grieving the death of someone whose life included military service to the United States
National Park Trust is partnering with TAPS to provide those grieving the death of a military loved one with the opportunity to fish and explore our public parks, lands, and waters. These experiences offer a chance to revitalize their outlook on life and connect with their local communities by getting outside, being active, and having fun. This partnership between the National Park Trust, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and TAPS supports outdoor outings on Forest Service lands.
