Nick Weig

Nick grew up in Oregon and Washington, where he developed a passion for the outdoors at an early age. Whether it was climbing the towering peaks of the Cascade Mountains, or walking the vast expanse of the Pacific coastline, Nick and his family always made time to get out into nature, a habit that has continued throughout his life.

Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, in 2020. During his time there, he worked for an environmental education organization as a program coordinator, building and guiding outdoor programs for children and adults alike. After graduation, Nick worked as a Campaign Director on several national political campaigns, building grassroots coalitions to fight for public lands and conservation of natural resources. 

As the Senior Programs Coordinator for the National Park Trust, Nick works to develop and implement high-quality programs, outings, and partnerships that promote military and college engagement with the outdoors at local, state, and national park sites across the country to foster a love of the outdoors, recreation, and stewardship for current and future generations.
