Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Appalachian State University is a public university known for its strong sense of community, adventurous spirit, and commitment to sustainability. With trails, forests, rivers, and mountain landscapes right outside campus, App State offers students endless opportunities to learn and explore beyond the classroom.
App State joined the National Park Trust College Ambassador Program in 2023, and since then, its student ambassadors have continued to create opportunities for their peers to connect with national parks and public lands. Through the 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2026–27 program years, App State ambassadors have led outdoor experiences that bring the Mountaineer community together to explore, learn, and build a deeper connection with the outdoors. Go ‘Neers!
