Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary Jugging and Kayaking Registration Page

Heroes on the Water and CCA- Maryland have teamed up with National Park Trust for an exciting day of jug fishing and kayak paddling on the Potomac River. Atlantic Kayak will also provide a guided kayak paddling tour of the Ghost Fleet, the collection of World War One ships left abandoned in the river, now creating their own ecosystems and environments.

Who: National Park Trust, Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland, Maryland Chapter of Heroes on the Water, and Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary

What: A fun Saturday of jug fishing and kayak paddling at Mallows Bay – Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary. Participants must be ages eight and up.

When: Saturday, July 11th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Where: 1440 Wilson Landing Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662

Volunteer: If you would like to volunteer, we are looking for people to be on the water with your kayak helping people jug fish, or on shore cleaning fish and helping people in and out of the kayaks, please use this link to sign up as a volunteer.

Complimentary Lunch provided by Mission Barbeque, please bring your own water bottles!

Registration does not guarantee entry, participants will be notified of acceptance by Monday, June 29th!
