Joana Lagunes Arauz

Joana Lagunes Arauz is a Junior at Benedict College who loves the outdoors. She turned to nature to cope with challenges, including a diagnosis of Bipolar II Disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic. This sparked her passion for mental health advocacy and conservation. Joana has explored many US conservation areas and believes in nature’s therapeutic value. As an HBCU ambassador, she hopes to help students find peace in nature.
