Hi, I’m Amari, a 12-year-old DC kid that loves the parks! My favorite local park is Rock Creek Park. I like to watch the fish and swim in the creek. The nature center is pretty cool too. One day I hope to go to Yellowstone National Park to see the geysers and bison. I was inspired to become a National Park Trust Youth Leader after my 3rd-grade class took a camping trip to Calvert Cliffs State Park through the Buddy Bison School Program. I knew that some kids didn’t have or know about these opportunities so I want to encourage kids to get out more in nature and do the things I did because it’s really fun and keeps you healthy.
