Who We Are

Since 1983, National Park Trust has protected critical parklands across the country, completing 74 projects that have benefited 57 national park sites. As we celebrate the 250th birthday of our country, we are pleased to share that 31 of our projects have preserved national park historic and cultural sites that represent defining moments in our country.

At the same time, we expand access to parks, public lands, and waters through youth, family, military, and college programs that connect tens of thousands of people to the outdoors each year.

We believe these places should be cared for, experienced, and preserved by all for current and future generations.

Our Purpose

By protecting national park land and expanding access to parks, public lands, and waters through education and experience, National Park Trust ensures today’s actions create future generations who care for America’s parks and public spaces.

Our Story

National Park Trust has dedicated more than 40 years to preserving our nation’s parks and inspiring future generations. In 2023, we proudly celebrated four decades of meaningful impact — protecting over 25,000 acres and connecting tens of thousands of students to the great outdoors each year through programs like Buddy Bison.
